Beach Bum

The last week has been a whirlwind to say the least. Our little family's world was turned upside down. A little over a week ago, Tyler was playing with Walker and found a little lump on the right side of his chest. We were definitely worried, so we visited his pediatrician the next morning. They were also worried and sent him to have a sonogram.

We didn't get the news we wanted. The doctors told us that this could be a malignant or benign growth. Of course I could only hear the worse! We took Walker for a few more tests. He had to get his blood drawn (absolutely awful) and for an X-ray. His blood work came back great, which was wonderful news! His chest also looked great in the X-rays.

We met with a pediatric surgeon the next day at the Blair E. Batson Children's hospital. The surgeon felt of the growth and feels sure that it is benign. We all feel more comfortable taking the growth out anyway to be sure.

So, tomorrow morning our little moon is having surgery. I feel like a basket case, but we will make it through this!

Coming back from the doctor's office. Look at his little band-aid. Breaks my heart.
Kisses from Daddy make it all better.
We've had a beach trip planned with Tyler's family for a while, which was much needed after the few days we had. Walker's doctor told us to head out and relax. (Easy to say.) Walker was the best baby to travel with. I could count on one hand how many times he cried. Sweet thing! We had a wonderful time hanging out with Tyler's family. Walker took a few cat naps on the beach and just had a blast.

We spent more time in the condo than wanted though due to rain EVERY day! We had never been to Destin where it rained so much.  I chalked it up to God telling me that there was a shark in the ocean that wanted to eat me, so he kept me away. ;)

Happy Days

Little Walker has been a happy little dude the past few days! (I think it is because he is super excited about his beach trip coming up!)
Here are a few recent pictures of the cute little man.

Oh, by the way....Walker weighs a whoppin' 15 pounds and 2 ounces! He's a growing boy!

12 Weeks Old!

Walker is 12 weeks old today! Can you believe it? Time is flying by! Walker and I had a very busy day today. We played a lot, went shopping, came home and played some more. I got Walker a few clothes for the Fall and Winter. They are super cute! I can't wait to see him in them.

Walker gave a few giggles and almost laughs today. I can't wait to hear him give a big laugh! Walker is really loving his hands. They always wind up in his mouth! He has started rubbing his eyes when he gets sleepy. Sweet man!

Walker did so much today that he feel asleep while I was putting on his diaper after his bath! Poor baby was worn slap out!

Here are a few pictures of Walker's fun today.
 Good Morning!

Harrison is always trying to lick Walker!

Shopping makes for a sleepy guy.

We don't go anywhere without our lovey.

So tired!

Smiling faces

Tyler and I have been working hard the past few days to get Walker in a sleep schedule. This is hard work, I tell you! Walker is making progress though! Saturday and Sunday were great nap days. Last night walker went to bed at 7 and slept until 7. (With wake-ups to eat, of course!) He isn't quite ready to give up his 2 nightly bottles. This is quite alright with me because it is precious quite time spent with little bit.

Today wasn't as great of a nap day, so Walker went to bed a little early at 6:30. This may mean I will be up early this morning!!!

With all of this extra sleep, Walker has been all smiles while he is awake. I have had great fun finding new ways to entertain him. Walker thinks it is hilarious when I pick his feet up and bring them close to his face. He also thinks it's funny when I dance around and act like a crazy person. (But who wouldn't, right?)

I had a quick little giggle at Walker while putting him to sleep tonight. He and I were sitting in his rocking chair, lights off in his bedroom. He was gulping his bottle down....or so I thought. I looked down at the sweet baby and he was conked out! When I took the bottle out of his mouth, he stayed asleep with hands clasped together. I wish I could have gotten a picture of it. It was precious. The little thing didn't even wake up for his burp! God bless him!

Here are a few pictures from today. Hopefully tomorrow I can get more of his funny shenanigans.
